Desert Rose: The Life and Legacy of Coretta Scott King will be released by The University of Alabama Press in May 2012. Joe co-wrote the book with Edythe Scott Bagley, Coretta’s sister, who began this project more than 40 years ago. Joe was honored to work with Mrs. Bagley, and loved the hours they spent talking on the phone three mornings a week for almost two years.
